Nicholas Bettinger

Nick Bettinger's practice focuses on litigation and the representation of nonsubscribers to workers' compensation insurance in the state of Texas. His work with nonsubscribers includes consulting with employers on the legal requirements to become a nonsubscriber, preparation of welfare benefit plans to provide quality benefits to employees in lieu of workers' compensation benefits, educating management on proper administration of the injury benefits plan, training supervisors on workplace safety, counseling employers on specific claims, and representing employers in lawsuits and arbitration proceedings brought by injured employees. In his 25 years of practice, Nick has represented nonsubscribing employers throughout the state.

Nick also has broad experience in technology and computer network administration. He advises businesses on the legal aspects of technology, including the use and regulation of electronic communications and social media. Nick has given numerous speeches on the legal and ethical issues involving social media.

Nick also brings many years of experience in commercial landlord-tenant disputes, having represented some of the nation's largest commercial real estate companies. He also represents multiple Homeowners' Associations, providing advice on compliance issues and representing the associations in litigation matters.

Nick is also very active in the local bar association. He is the current President of the Tarrant County Bar Association and has served on the Board for the past five years.
